Amedikallu
The hard one on the Charmadi ridge — steeper than Ettina Bhuja, rockier at the top, and far quieter.
Amedikallu is a steep climb on the Charmadi ridge, less travelled than Ettina Bhuja and with a rockier finish. Dense forest low down, grassland high up, and a summit that drops away on three sides. The approach is genuinely hard to find without someone who knows it.

Travel tips
No forest department permit, but the route crosses estate and revenue land; take a guide from the base village. Start at first light — this is a long day. Carry 3 L of water, trekking shoes, full socks and leech guards, and a head torch.
Please note
Do: take a local guide; the approach is unmarked and forks repeatedly. Do: carry all your water — there is none on the route in the dry months. Don't: attempt it in the monsoon; the rock sections are unsafe wet. Don't: go solo. Don't: camp on the summit.
